Wedding outfit of Genelia and Riteish

Nine years of successful courtship and finally arrives the D-day. Lovey Dovey couple Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh is set to take wedding vows tomorrow, 3rd February. Ace designer Ritu Kumar has designed the wedding outfit of the bride to be Genelia.

For Genelia, Ritu Kumar has designed a lehanga, choli and odhni in gold and indigo blue. The blouse is made of indigo blue velvet with antique dhapka embroidery, while lehanga has antique gold weaving with zardozi embroidery.

The odhni is a slight blend of gold and indigo blue and the designer feels it will highlight Genelia's petite border. According to the designer, the ensemble resembles a 19th century archival piece.

Riteish and Genelia’s sangeet attire was also very gorgeous. Riteish in blue sherwani looked like the perfect bridegroom and Genelia looked extremely beautiful in a white heavily embellished lehenga. The sangeet was a grand affair and Bollywood who’s who turned up for the sangeet. Riteish’s Bollywood pals and his brother Dheeraj grooved on hit Bollywood numbers. Filmmaker Karan Johar planned the entire ceremony.

Throwing light on the debate whether Genelia will continue acting after marriage, he said, "Well, I dont think there is any reason why Genelia would have to put her acting assignments on hold. It is entirely her call on how she wants to work in years to come. She is an experienced person and professional, she can make her own decisions," Riteish said.

The duo will be very soon seen in the upcoming film, ‘Tere Naal Pyar Ho Gaya’.

First look of Riteish and Genelia after wedding

After a lavish wedding, Riteish Deshmukh and his better-half Genelia D’Souza log on to twitter and thanks all for the best wishes and posted a photograph of their wedding.

"MR & MRS DESHMUKH," tweets Riteish and also posted a photo showing him with new wife Genelia, soon after the wedding. Wishing Genelia and Riteish, good friend and actor Shahid Kapoor tweeted “And G is married !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbeleivable .:)," he posted.

Dressed in cream color sherwani, Riteish ride to the wedding venue on horse back and Genelia in red Neeta Lulla designer saree looks very happy and excited. The wedding was held in a Maharastrian style at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Well known celebrities turned up to wish the couple.

On January 24th, a party was hosted for them by producer Sajid Nadiadwala and actor Fardeen Khan.

After eight years of courtship, Riteish and Genelia tied the knot today. Their first film to be released after wedding is ‘Tere Naal Pyaar Ho Gaya’.
