Bipasha Got A New Funky Look

Bipasha Basu will next appear in new funky look, which she was first scared to do. Her new look will include colored hair, black nails and a tattoo on her chest. This new look she is sporting for her upcoming film Aa Dekhen Zara. She is playing a role of DJ in the film.

First she was worried to handle this look, but later her team of designers and stylists came to rescue her and convinced her to go with the looks. Bipasha is now very happy with her looks like she was never been so happy. But she adds, “But, I’ll be happiest when my home is done.”

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has finally convinced his co-star Bipasha Basu to sing with him the remix version of ‘Aa Dekhen Jara’ for their next film Aa Dekhen Jara. The original version of the song is sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle for film Rocky.

Neil was first hesitating to reveal Bipasha’s contribution to the song, but he finally revealed, “I convinced Bipasha to join me. After composer, Gaurav Dasgupta and I sat down and re-worked the entire song, adding portions of semi-classical alaaps restructuring and modifying the tune, I realized the track was incomplete without a female voice. After all Kishore Kumar who’s my favorite singer, has Ashaji in his version of ‘Aa Dekhen Jara’. Why can’t I have Bipasha?”

To convince Bipasha, Neil took help of John (too whom he call as John bhaiyya). “John and Bipasha can never say no to me,” said Neil.

“She agreed to sing and we will be recording her portions soon,” added Neil.

But, the latest version sounds different than the original R D Burman’s track. On that note Neil said, “Yes, I’ve changed it completely. Bipasha and I won’t only sing the track we’ll also perform to it. We will be using it as a promotional video for the film.”

Bipasha Wants To Wear Director Hat

The hot and sizzling Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, who has just spent nine years in the industry and now she feels that she has enough knowledge of cinema and can take on film direction.

Bipasha don’t only want to be a floor-burning sizzler forever, instead wants to use her experience of the film industry.

“I’ve learned on the job. I now understand script, character, choreography, camera angles. So, I guess I do see myself directing a film,” says Bipasha.

“I know I’ll be fantastic with things from behind the camera,” adds Bipasha.

Talking about her style mantra, Bipasha adds, “Nowadays I take more interest in the way I look. I’ve become conscious of what suits me. I won’t do anything that I don’t follow or don’t feel comfortable in. Fortunately we have such capable choreographers. They know I’m not a professional dancer. So, they give me movements that are fun and more me. I understand all that now.”

Bipasha Acquiring New stils

Well it’s not acting but the two other skills - driving and swimming - that Bipasha Basu thinks she is weak in. And for that she recently went to Kolkata to make her driving license. The actor says that she knew a bit of both, but needed to perfect them.

Bipasha later adds that she thoroughly admires people who do free-style swimming. She feels it like dancing in water and wants to do that as well.

Talking about driving, Bipasha adds, “And with driving, well, I was never inclined towards it. But now, I have finally given in and I know it is not that difficult.”

Bipasha smoking

Bipasha Basu’s anti-smoking act has been recently seen on the sets of Pankh, when she refused to hold cigarette in hand for a song sequence of the film. However director Sudipto Chattopadhyay understood her concern and came up with a creative solution on it.

Bipasha is well known in the industry as to never drink or smoke. She is health conscious and so refused to smoke a cigarette for a scene thinking that it might promote smoking into audience. “The director of the film wanted Bipasha to smoke on screen for a vital sequence. However, Bipasha flatly refused as she does not encourage smoking and hates it. She was not in favour of the scene and if she smokes, it meant that she would be promoting smoking. After that, Sudipto even gave her the option of holding a cigarette, but she refused that as well. Sudipto understood her point of view and agreed to shoot the scene differently,” a source said.

The actress confirmed it and explained her point, “I don’t smoke and I don’t encourage smoking. Unless it’s absolutely essential to smoke for my role, I wouldn’t agree to do it. In Pankh, it was not essential, hence I refused. I had also refused to smoke in one of my earlier films, Corporate. If my role is that of an addict, then I will do whatever the character and the role demands, which was not the case with Pankh.”

The director agreed to Bips point of view and planned something else for the scene. “It was a song sequence with a smoky atmosphere. We wanted to show that when she starts singing, smoke comes out of her mouth. However, she had a very valid point that smoking was a very politically incorrect thing to do. She said that she does not endorse smoking and she did not endorse John doing No Smoking. She had never smoked in her life. We can’t fake smoking like we do with drinking. So, eventually, we placed a canister jar in front of her which emitted smoke and we framed it in such a way that when she sings, it seems that the smoke is coming out of her mouth,” said the director.

Also the producer of the film, Sanjay Gupta said, “It’s the question of an actor being comfortable. Bipasha had some inhibitions about it and it’s perfectly fine.”

May be Bips is inspired from beau John Abraham for fitness and no smoking mantra. John earlier had done a film titled No Smoking, showing rehabilitation of smoking addicts in different way.

Bips seems to be not willing to appear on a game show hosted by Salman Khan as beau John and Sallu have strained relationship. Fardeen Khan and Ajay Devgan are making appearance on the Sallu’s show to promote their upcoming film while leading lady of the film, Bips taking her hand back.

Sources revealed, “Bipasha has no issues with Salman however for John she is trying to avoid direct contact with the actor.”

Well known in the industry for professionalism, Bips is choosing love over all other things.

Bipasha Basu becomes Mandodri for Raavana

Mani Ratnam’s forthcoming film Raavana has always been in news because of its exotic shooting in the jungles of Kerala and also because of its hot lead couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. Now story has got its new character, Bipasha Basu playing Mandodri (wife of Ravan). Ravan is being played by Abhishek.

Ever since the film started its shooting there has been curiosities about who will play Mandodri. Mandodri was top most beloved wife of Ravan, who always tried to bring Ravan back on the religious path.

One source revealed, “Bipasha immediately said ‘yes’ to the role. Actually, she had agreed to do it a month back. But Mani Ratnam had given strict instructions to her to keep quiet about it.”

“Bipasha’s costumes are ready. She is very happy with her look for the film. She is looking forward to joining the Raavana unit,” added the source.

When quizzed to Bipasha, she confirmed it and said, “Bipasha has not only an item number in the film but also a proper role, which can be termed as a special appearance. Right now, she is shooting for Priyadarashan’s film with Akshaye Khanna and Ajay Devgan. She will be shooting for 20 days for Raavana.”

The role was first offered to Sushmita Sen, but she refused to do it. May be because of the old rival Aishwarya is playing lead in the film. Meanwhile, Bips will start shooting for her part from mid of September.

Bipasha perform on the Diwali special

Bipasha Basu opted out at a last minute from a Diwali special show for a television channel, when she learnt that there is no other cine star making appearance on the show. She was supposed to perform on the Diwali special named Diwali Mela Dilon Ka to promote her upcoming film All the Best. Ajay Devgan, her co-star from All The Best and also the director Rohit Shetty were part of the program, but only Bipasha had to perform. So the actress ditched the show.

A source from channel said, “Everything was set for the Diwali special, scripts were ready and the sets were done too. And although she had agreed initially, Bipasha changed her mind in the end. She felt that an actress of her calibre was only meant for the silver screen, and TV was only for those who were insecure about their career in Bollywood.”

On the other hand, Bips says, “I have never heard about this show.”

The show is kind a twelve days festival and big names from TV shows and serials are participating in it. Rajeev Khandelwal and Shweta Gulati are also part of it.

The unprofessional act is not new from Bipasha, as last year also she back out from The Unforgettables tour at last minute.

Bipasha is performing in five star hotel

Bipasha is performing in five star hotel on New Year’s eve. Apparently, Bipasha Basu is the only to get a good deal for her act on 31 December. Sources have said that, Bipasha is performing for 15 minutes and has asked for two crores. Bipasha remained unavailable for comment. Two years back in 2007, she charged Rs. 90 Lakh for a 15 minute performance in a different hotel.

When asked the leggy lass about remuneration, Bipasha says, “All I say, its great money and they have offered me the same deal that I got two years ago with another hotel. And it is been two years, so the rates would have gone up. Naturally the amount has to be very big or I would not be doing it.”

The beautiful actress will have a grand entry twice, and will be performing on some of the hit songs of Bollywood. She is also performing on some songs from the 70s. When asked her if she it was a step down from her previous performance, she said, “I cannot keep performing at the same hotel every year. It is a five star hotel, credible they pay me good money and there are nice people associated with it. Apart from that, John and his family and our friends will also come for the event and we will have our own party there. The hotel has agreed to host our party too.”

Fashion designer Rocky S is designing Bipasha’s costume for the event, he says, “both Bipasha’s outfits are shiny, elaborate and very expensive as befitting a New Year’s show. My favorite color for Bipasha is red so one number is a very 40s style, vintage dress in red above the knee, fully tasseled in silk and clustered in red Swaroski crystals. The second dress is made of georgette, is in onion pink and completely covered with diamonds. It is a very short dress with tassels at the hem. Both the dresses are very sexy

John and Bipasha Still Together

There have been many rumors lately about this beautiful couple’s break-up. However, the fact is that John and Bipasha have moved in together. They both did not make any public appearance after the rumor of their break-up. According to the Bollywood gossipers, Bipasha had ended the relation and they were not together anymore. It was also said that the couple has decided to give each other some space and let love take a backseat. After New York, John made no public appearance, while Bipasha was seen alone for the promotions of her movies.

In spite of the rumors, it was found out that John and Bipasha are not only in love but have also moved in together.
